Corporate social responsibility (CSR)

We want to take our responsibility in finding the balance between the social, ecological and economic dimensions of business and minimise our ecological and social footprint. We have been doing this for years with great results!

Facts and figures

We have installed 9,000 solar panels on the roofs of our warehouses, for example. Which enables us to generate sustainable electricity, even more than we use ourselves! So, we are not only energy-neutral, but we also supply some energy back to the grid.

We have also received a Lean & Green Award during the Transport & Logistics Congress in Rotterdam. The award shows that Bouw Logistic Services is actively working on reducing its CO2 emissions. To this end, we have created a plan to achieve a 20% reduction of CO2 emissions within five years. TNO and Connekt approve of this plan. We are currently working on the realisation and implementation of this plan.

Organic

We have a SKAL organic certificate. So, we meet the requirements for the organic production method. Thus, the transport of organic products is entrusted to us next to their storage and handling.

A product may only be called organic, bio, eco or organic if the entire production process meets the legal requirements. The European government determines the rules, which SKAL checks. After the application, the inspection at our company showed that we are a reliable partner in handling etc. organic goods and meet all the legal conditions.

Development

We believe everyone must be able to work to the best of his/her/their ability. That is why we like to employ people distanced from the labour market. In addition, we are an acknowledged learning company that trains and supervises intermediate vocational students. We also welcome higher professional education (HPE) students, who, for example, can do their graduation internships at our company. If the internship works out for both sides, a first job might be in the offering.
